Dear Parents,
I welcome your family into my heart and my home. What I offer to you and your child is much more than just child care. I offer an extended family--a support system that nurtures all of us. It is often difficult for working parents to balance all the commitments and responsibilities in their lives. I offer you peace of mind where your child is concerned in a safe and loving environment where your child will be accepted, loved, nurtured and stimulated.
I strive to meet your child's individual physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs. I feel children learn best in a creative, play-based natural learning environment. An environment that encourages play will prepare children for kindergarten, future elementary school academics and a life-long love of learning. Your child will grow everyday by being offered concrete, hands-on experiences that will foster brain growth and development, building a strong foundation for later higher learning. Patience, cooperation, compassion for self and others, communication skills, self help skills, curiosity and pride in accomplishment will be encouraged through participating in the daily activities.
As the daughter of school teachers, I have worked with children all my life. Nurturing young children is very important to me. I have 30+ years experience as a child care professional and have obtained a National Accreditation for my facility for child care quality standards. In addition, I hold a Child Development Teaching credential. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Family Child Care Association of San Luis Obispo County and acted as the SLO/Coastal chapter representative for our area. I have participated in many trainings and classes and continue to do so. I will use my knowledge to offer stimulating, developmentally appropriate activities for all stages of your child's growth.
My commitment to you starts with your commitment to me. For this support system to thrive, we must have open, honest communication. I strive to go above and beyond in my home daycare/preschool program. I am making an investment in your child and will give only my best. I hope you will honor that by choosing my facility as your primary preschool program. I do recommend T-K or pre-kindergarten classes at a center when your child reaches about four years old and when we both agree they are ready.
To help my family child care home operate smoothly, you will need to comply with my policies and contract. Please feel free to share with me your concerns, problems, and situations which affect you and your child, as I will share mine with you. I am looking forward to working with you to provide the best possible care for your child.
Welcome to my home,
Beth
